2019 Cherokee Oil Consumption Test
My oil consumption tests were being done inaccurately by my dealer. I took my Jeep to a different dealer and the testing was done correctly. My engine was replaced. Do not trust your oil consumption test results, take it to another dealer for a second opinion.

I read somewhere that new cars have an acceptable standard of burning up to 1qt per oil change, and that's because of the longevity.
I'm at 302k, and in 20k miles of owning my XJ, I haven't been missing more than 1/2 quart on a 4-5k interval. I consider that success.
