260 miles to a tank?
So I just bought a 98 Cherokee Classic 4.0L auto 4x4 and I filled it up drove it and registered 260 miles before it said Empty. Is that about average? Also I notice when the fuel light comes on, about the last white mark on the gauge, it will drop to Empty within 10 miles, is that normal as well

it falls somewhere between 21-24 mpg depending on how long it idles. I live in a rural area, but work in the city. I have a 32 mi round trip to work. I don't go over 55mph for more than 2 miles or so. the rest of the commute is stop/go - 50 mph.
I noticed at highway speeds (60+) it doesn't do as well. ESP interstate speeds lol

the first tank after buying this thing was 21.9 mpg. it sat for a year or better before I bought it. aired up the tires, replaced the bad alt and started driving it. I haven't seen less than 20 mpg since I bought it. running the ac puts it right at 20, but I also had to break the compressor free so it'd spin haha

My wife's bone stock 98 will do 320-340 miles on one tank.
My 99 will only do about 250 on a tank with 3" lift, 31's and stock gears. (It got the same when it was stock.)
