31x10.50r15 Baja claws with 3"lift
My zone 3" lift is on the way here, I went with full new springs instead of AALs, new nitro shocks, coils up front a d gonna order a rubicon express track bar.
What does everyone think of the Baja claw tires in 31x10.50 on some soft 8 wheels with a 4" back spacing. Will these be ok? They sure look cool. Also should I order new steering bump stops too?

If that's what you're looking at for it's purpose, think practicality over looks then. Baja Claws look cool, but a different tire would be a better choice for on-road manners, wear, and even noise. I would recommend going with an all terrain tire, like Goodyear Duratrac's. They have a nice aggressive look, but they'll be a much better road tire. When you hit the trails you'll be happy as well. They perform well in almost all situations. 3" of lift with 4" of rim backspacing is good as far as fender and LCA clearance with 31x10.5's. As for bumpstops, disconnect the front sway bar (check the fab section for $7 disconnects if you can't afford true disconnects) and flex it out. See if you're contacting anywhere with the tire and bumpstop accordingly.

I would HIGHLY Recommend AGAINST the Baja Claws for a DD. That's what I have on my Cherokee but in the 33x12.50 flavor. And I've only put 17,000 miles on them and they are between 1/4 and 1/2 tread left. I will probably only get 25,000-30,000 miles out of them if im lucky. I will never buy these tires again. Just wanted to give you a heads up. They do great off road though. But if you spend most of your time on the pavement you will be buying another set of tires in no time.
I would probably go with nordplz advice. The Duratracs are nice. Or if you like the Mickey Thompson look with the side biters as they call it. Look at the Baja ATZ all terrains. I have a buddy that runs those on his truck and they last pretty good millage wise. And I have another buddy that runs the Mickey Thompson Baja MTZ on his truck and he seems to like those two. But definitely not the Baja Claws. They are horrible on Pavement.

Dont know about the Baja Claws but you have a member^ with first hand experience saying not to buy them for a dd so that tells me something. I do understand that getting an all terrain tire for a Jeep to some people is a nono. If you want a mud terrain that drives great on the street and looks cool try looking into Goodyear Wrangler MTR kevlar. Thats what I have and they drive great and dont wear down to quick. Just a suggestion.

see the red thing inside the coil spring? There's the upper section that's a darker red which is the bump stop casing. The lower part is the bump stop itself. Like ktm said, they limit suspension compression.

All I can say is they are definitely not worth the money. You can buy a much better tire for the same price your getting those for.
