The wheels in the Pic were 15x8's. they got 4.5" of b/s I have my 33x10.5's on the same ones. they're actually not too pricy.

They set inspection standards that you need to meet in order to drive your vehicle on the road and if it is inspected but doesnt fit the rules most cops don't care within reason but every once in a while I got pulled over and got a 130$ ticket and my sticker scraped.( I just put a new one on. My dad has an inspection station)

Yea but they can pull you over later with the bigger tires and scrape the sticker off and give a 133$ ticket labeled ""defective automobile"

How can a state that I'm sure gets epic amounts of snow be picky about tire size?

Trust me your not the only one that finds it's stupid. A matter of fact the lift/tire laws have gotten more lenient. Before 2007, any vehicle equipped with abs could not altar tire size or frame height at all. body lifts were illegal for all vehicles and front/rear heights were about 2 inches lower than now. now it's 3 tires sizes, 29 front 31" rear for height of a vehicle under 1/2 ton, any1 with abs cannot have a body lift. Body lifts cannot exceed 3". Any tire or lift alterations to a vehicle with abs require you to have papers with you showing that you had a "qualified technician" change your speedometer settings and what not.

I hear Washington has a good one. Front headlights have to be at or Lower than 72" for all vehicles. Holy f*** that would be a tall xj.
