PowerTrax No-Slip in the back of mine. Its nice but it takes time to get used to with the popping and clicking. Although off-road it more then defiantly pays for itself.

Thanks for input. I currently have a d35 and was going to do the 8.8 swap but the 8.8 deal would cost like 400-500 bucks more than a 8.25 and I hear it's just as strong. I can get a 8.25 for 100 bucks w the same gear ratio.

Couldn't beat the price, and it dosen't clunk around and rachet during on an off acceleration. All the Myths you heard about it are false, and or from people who's mother brother uncle friend todd did it wrong.
It works

I have a no slip and its very, very quiet compared to a lock right. Found it on eBay with a broken paddle for $110 listed as a new part, when I got it you could see wear marks so I emailed the seller which refunded me $60 and let me keep the locker. Paid $50 for a new paddle, best hundy I've spent on the Xj imo. definitely worth even the $480 they cost new.

8.8 is def stronger, especially if your comparing it to a 27 spline 8.25

8.25's are plenty strong imo. if you plan on running bigger than 35's then id look into a swap but a 29 spline 8.25 is nearly as strong as an 8.8 and bolts right up. 8.8's have a s%!t ton of aftermarket support which makes gears/lockers/install kits etc. alot cheaper new. Another upside to the 8.8 is you could most likly find the majority of you parts used from CL or ebay since they are so popular. Ford put them in damn near everything RWD or 4WD.
