Default 99 Intake mani swap

Is swapping the intake manifold from a 99 to a pre 99 really worth the time and money? So far i understand its supposed to add more power and throttle response but heres the question: Does it?

I was under the impression all the 99+ manifolds were the same, matter of fact i just picked one up.

What difference is there from the 99 to the 00+?

99 and up are the same. Mine helped out greatly, gained me off idle and midrange power and about 3 or 4 mpg.

Well on my 99 I did the injector swap. I noticed a nice sotp improvement and about 2 mpgs. Before I did it I could only chirp my 235 duratracs. Now I can get a full rotation and a half. Jst make sure she's all tuned up. Also keep in mind of my exhaust set-up in my sig. Right now in mixed driving and this god awefull oxigenated gas ... I get 19.5 mpg in mixed driving and babying it. I don't shift above 2k

i just installed the neon 703 injectors, 99 intake manifold and borla header. i still have to finish the rest of the exhaust from header to cat and ill be done and ready to test it out. that manifold is a lil rough to put on w/ header. i had to have a friend come over w/ smaller arms and hands to put lower bolts on

I'm looking forward to your results. In the next few weeks I am putting on a '99+ intake, 703's, Banks revolver headers and magnaflow exhaust. Our results should be similiar. I also have a 62mm TB and CAI and Superchips reprogrammer.

I've seen one site with dyno numbers and there was a 26hp gain in horsepower.

Considering 99+ intake upgrade as 94XJ.How is newer intake better?Bigger
ports,better flow path?
The ones i looked at in JY looked the same externally as my stock 94 manifold.
Maybe i wasnt looking at correct year.(grand cherokee)
Anybody got pic or part #? Thanks!
