It was a legitimate question. It just seemed to me that if somebody was going to go through all the trouble and fab to swap in solid axles, they would use something better than a 30 and 8.25.

Maaaybe... depends on the build. The KL's already heavy enough, I'm not sure how the stock engine would do with mods that XJ guys normally do an engine upgrade to accommodate as well. If you keep the rest of the driveline, simple reliable axles like the D30 and C8.25 make sense. Cheap, plentiful, and if you have a herd of Jeeps you can standardize!

(So far I own 3x D30s and 3x C 8.25s for my two XJs lol)

Read a post were some guy had a 2014 Cherokee and drove over a curb by accident and was impressed at how well it did lol. I love these threads keep them comin good entertainment
