Does it have a slip yoke eliminator? Stock driveshaft? What rear end? Recent tune up? Check the trans, antifreeze, and oil. Ask if he has the service records. Ask how many previous owners the car had like Willys55 stated. All viable and important questions. Not only will you be asking questions that will help you understand the truck better but you will also sound like you know your **** and that can help you to bring him down.

Just make sure he shoots you a price first. The first to throw a price out usually loses more. Just ask what he absolutely needs to get out of it then shoot a much lower offer after that. The more you find out about the truck (generally issues with the truck or things it needs), the more firepower you can aid yourself with in talking him down. He will probably counter and if he does dont settle for that price. Go up 1/4-1/2 incraments in comparison to his counter offers (for example if he goes down 500 on his original offer, go up 125-250 on yours). That thing is not worth $7k, at least to me. I wouldn't give him $4k but that's how dealers work.

Sure the price is high but are you guys forgetting that 150000km is like 90000 mi? I dont know but I have never seen a clean , 1 owner xj with this mileage for 3500 like some of you say. Its a dealer so its high but I think its not far off from it being a decent purchase. OP check for rust under the plastic side caps on the rear bumper, thats where my last one was rotted. Also take a hammer crawl underneath and tap the floor, every single inch by inch. You might not be able to see rot in the floor boards otherwise. Also asking a dealer about if it had a tune up, fluids etc. is pointless. Even if the car wasnt touched in 10 years he will tell you that every single fluid, filter, seal was changed yesterday. You have to check for mechanicals yourself or bring your own mechanic.

It for sure has a stock driveshaft and no slip yoke eliminator because I see a transfer case drop spacer on it. But If you plan on daily driving it and mild offroading its not an issue.

One thing to consider - if the engine compartment looks too clean, be wary. Any machine over 10 years old is gonna have a nice patina, some dust and a light sheen of oil (or more!) If it is spotlessly clean, chances are it was pressure washed to hide leaks or other issues.

Having a lift on it doesn't add value to it.

O1 limited... Leather heated seats... Wood grain... Part time/full time t-case. Overhead consol... This is as nice as the xjs came..... Lil high on price but... A bug deflecter... Screams old man.. At some point, im guessing most of its life, was old man owned. My gf jus got an 01 sport off an old man for $4k with 157k miles.. This is one of the nicest jeeps ive seen since they were new.. Just opening the doors u can tell they have never been abused..or used realy... Bottom line is.... This limited jeep is nice, and good luck finding an interior in a xj that is nicer idk if i would pay that much but.... It does bluebook over 5 quite a bit.. My moms 00 limited with 180k miles books over 5... Didnt give that for it...but it had block sealer in the coolant.... I wouldnt hesitate paying good money for that limited 7 is def to high yes.. 4 is an insult tho if u ask me.
