LoL, yeah I hit parts that I don't have time to get out and take covers off. I use my lights so I don't hit any big game like bear/moose/Bigfoot lol. I can be on public roads that have no ppl on them. Then boom branch off on some back road and pass someone turn them off till they pass, then back on public no one around. so it would be to much off a pain in the a$$. This is a video off the front of my house, just one of hundreds so I love my lights..lol

I'm sure the cop would much rather work the traffic accident after some oncoming traffic you blinded hit you head on.
No need (other than the perceived "tacticool factor") to run off road lights on public roads. If your headlights don't cut it, properly aim them.

The only time I use mine is on the trails at night and I have HID headlights to boot. Mine are setup to turn on 2 at a time for the 3 front sets and one switch for the rear backup/work lights.

The backup lights have been one of the best improvements I've made. I showed the first time I had to back down a narrow forest service road (huge tree across the road) winding through the trees downhill for about a 1/4mi.

Either way if its not DOT approved or factory you shouldn't drive with roof lights on no matter what. Law is the Law.

Yeah what law is that? I don't have any laws about off road lights or covers in Alaska(Had a judge confirm it in court). And at times I'm on a public roads with no one around for miles, and will never see another car for hours. In Alaska We have moose/bear/big game/BigFoot lol, that dart/run around at night, blend into the brush on the side of the road. People hitting big game up here is nothing new.
My lights point more in the ditch then down the road so I can see any thing about to jump out. Lots of ppl up here don't have covers, its to much of a pain to get out just to take covers off our lights.

We use our lights a lot up here to see big game, we are in the dark for about 18 hours a day in the winter. Please don't get me wrong I don't drive around with lights on when other ppl around, just on the back wood roads, or when no one is around. But if you are willing to drive around with me and every time I need lights you can jump out and take them off for me. But the first time its -25/pitch black and to dangerous to get out of the jeep to take the covers off hmm
To the OP If you don't have to use your lights like I do. Then just cover them up, no point on having them uncovered. I think they look good covered, look at Fred/N0AZZ jeep I think his jeep looks good with covers.

Glad to hear. I used to be an avid hunter and was taught to never kill for fun and only shoot what you intend to use as not to waste.
