Im gonna wait to see if the mechanic can find anything wrong with her, but man, im stoked. I think I got a steal. So, its' completely stock, is it dumb to lift it? I live in the city and while I like to think ill overland moab one day, im gonna go camping at like state parks as my most off road situation.

It feels small and low, thats for sure.

Also, there are NO cup holders in old cherokees?! haha
so weird...

But the flip out ash tray with joint holder is such a bonus and more than makes up to it.

Default crazy like a fox

dont lift until you absolutely NEED TO. Jeep Cherokee is most capable American STOCK 4X4 ever made. Besides H1 and is that lifted...No. Do you have the 4hi and 4lock shifter?

That's an excellent deal!
Brakes are NBD, and if you were able to do them yourself, not expensive either (shop time always costs), It looks like it's sagging a bit in the back, so you're probably due for some rear leaf springs, and shocks all around (also inexpensive and easy to do).

I agree, don't lift it. unless you're hitting trails, it doesn't do you much good, get some good knobby tires and call it a day. It is small, but only on the outside. Plus the more stock you keep it, and the more rust free you keep it, it will only go UP in value at this point. they've hit the bottom. IMO, it's going to be worth more the longer you keep it, and if you keep it in good condition.

Here is a video about the transfer case:
