That's an excellent deal!
Brakes are NBD, and if you were able to do them yourself, not expensive either (shop time always costs), It looks like it's sagging a bit in the back, so you're probably due for some rear leaf springs, and shocks all around (also inexpensive and easy to do).
I agree, don't lift it. unless you're hitting trails, it doesn't do you much good, get some good knobby tires and call it a day. It is small, but only on the outside. Plus the more stock you keep it, and the more rust free you keep it, it will only go UP in value at this point. they've hit the bottom. IMO, it's going to be worth more the longer you keep it, and if you keep it in good condition.
Im sure there are a million threads regarding shocks, but is there a simple answer on what I should replace the original shocks with? I have time to goto a scrap yard, but have no problem just buying new or refurbed ones... what keeps it the most stock?
Im kinda digging the whole keep it stock game. It has some funky replacement tail lights I want to replace with old school ones...
Here are the warning messages im getting... The brake/check antilock I think are related to the brake booster, and hope that remedies it. The security one I think has to do with some fault in the car alarm. If you unlock the car via the driver side it will set off the alarm, you have to unlock it from the passenger side as of now...
Man theres a lot of hidden puzzles type of fun to jeeps I didnt expect.
I think so, though I dont know if its factory installed or an aftermarket one... I dropped the jeep off at an automotive upholstery shop this morning to redo the headliner/visors, should have it back tomorrow night!
4x Full time is for dry road, gravel, fsst hard roads...like rally racing
4x Part time (LOCKED)is off road only, deep loose dirt mud snow sand
u can shift on fly between 2hi, 4 Full, and 4 Locked up to 55 mph.
nuetral is so you can flat tow it behind Your RV!
watch it Park doesnt keep it from rollin away when 4x is in nuetral
Ha, thanks for the tip on rolling in park, I wouldnt have known that. In general is it a good idea to run around in the various 4by modes once in awhile to keep the oil moving around or anything?
hey whats that **** at top of rectangular stack to left of radio?
Man i just noticed those 4 mud flaps!
Thats a West Coast Moutain Rally Beast Killer!
The stance is just right, save your money to go thru every bit of the drive train n make it tight and right.

One clue might be that factory hitches have an add on metal box for the electrical connection to a trailer (slightly bent in the blurry pic below). I have never seen this on an aftermarket hitch. There is also a sticker that provides the towing specs on the right side. These are sometimes removed or painted over.

You got a great deal there! Congratulations! As long as your motor and transmission is strong, I'd concentrate on steering and suspension before anything else, assuming time and funds are at a premium. Also, I would have ALL fluids changed and even have the cooling system backflushed. The water pump, thermostat and housing, and upper and lower hoses are relatively inexpensive and worth replacing as well.

When you say concentrate on steering, what exactly do you mean? like putting in a sye?

No, just be cognizant of the components under the front end, like bushings, joints, and ends. If not maintained, you could end up with some unwanted wobble!
