Best way to keep your winch from getting stolen....
Keep tension on the line. Too hard to get it in free spool and to difficult to pull bolts. Or surround it in lights that cost more than 2 winches! Lol. Also a alarm helps!

 

Has anyone ever tried installing a winch inside of the rear cargo area? No one could steal it, and it would always be protected from the weather. It's just as easy to pull yourself out backwards as forward.

 

And I just found out a cool place to mount mine..thanks man! Lol

 

Maybe set up a miniature electrical fence made from metal toothpicks that zaps thieves when they try to unbolt it :P.
