Km2s are one of the best all around tires, they don't excel at mud but do perform well. If your looking for a pure mud tire look at swampers, boggers, or iroks. Other wise all other mts' are gonna be about the same as the km2's in mud, some a little better some a little less but not worth losing your *** on selling new tires to buy a marginally better tire.

I appreciate all your guy's feedback on them. i believe you all that you say you had a good experience with the km2's in mud, but after owning...6 or 7 different brands of m/t's, km2's have given me the least amount of traction in mud so far. And i've always wheeled 4 lo, before and after my regear. I'm not saying they don't clean, i'm saying not very well. From my experience.

I got them for $750. Only reason i baught them. I've owned a couple sets of tsl's. In my experience, the margin has been quite noticeable. For example, my last set of tires were 33" pro comp mt's. I honestly think they would out perform my 35" km2's in mud by a mile.

lol why are you trying to sling mud in 4 low? Try 4 Hi next time and they'll clean right out and take you where ever you like. Maybe mud is different in SC but down in Geawgea Its high gear for the mud. If in doubt hit it with speed!

But if you dont drive your rig on the road all the time get some Federals, I honestly have yet to need 4wd in my jeep since i got those tires. Even with them wore as low as they are they still grip like crazy, only thing i dont like about the tires are that the sidewalls arent as strong as i'd like and they wear out in about 20,000 or so

That exhaust is a custom one that I made earlier on the trail before the tank trap all you got to do is rip your exhaust off right after the cat and as far as lift and tires I got a 4.5inch on 33x12.5 and the pit is more mud then water and i wasn't going fast thats why I put it in 4

I've owned pro comps mt's as well worst tire I've ever owned, they did fair in mud pry a slight bit better but every other aspect wasn't even close. And if I was only expecting 15k mileage out of a tire like the pro comps I'd just upgrade to swampers and have a real mud tire.

I've always gone whereever i needed to in lo range but enough on that subject. I'm gonna just play around with the km2's until a deal on some tsl's come up. Those federals sound like a cheap mudder and those are usualy the best tires in the mud lol. My local trail can be brutal on sidewalls however.

Yeah guess why i got rid of them? horrible sidewalls lol, mud was their only good purpose to me.

Yeah man, i've been looking for another set of tsl's forever, just never found a deal on them. Overall my favorite tire that i've owned. When 4 brand new km2's came up for $750 i jumped on em.

Yeah i wouldnt get the federals then I put a mark or two in mine and I dont ever really mess with rocks.. They are (well were) a cheap mud tire, got 4 for $450 before they got popular. Went and priced a new set for $750 from the same place i got them 2 years ago.. Damn economy. But i'll be damn if the things wont dig

I love my km2's. Quiet and smooth on road, sticky as can be off road. It was just luck I made it through some 3ft deep goo. Just under red-line for 40ft and what seemed like the longest 5min of my life. These km2's plowed a path, I'll tell you! Swampers probably would have been easier, but I made it! Aaaaaand they are without a doubt the best LOOKING tires on this earth.....after you spend awhile cleaning caked-on mud from places you didn't think a Jeep had. Peace, out.
