Anyone have experience with this welder?
Im looking at getting a starter MIG welder to fab up some small things. Im looking for a decent brand thats not gonna crap out on me after the first couple projects, plugs into a 120V (only have 1 230V here), and can use gas if i decide that i dont like the flux core.
I have welded a few times before on a friends dads welder, but i have no idead what it was other than a fluxcore mig.
Anyways, im looking at this one. http://www.homedepot.com/Tools-Hardw...&storeId=10051
Anyone have experience with this brand of welder? hows the duty cycle/penetration? max thickness id be doing would probably be 3/16" as i dont have cutting tools that could go thru thicker.
Looking at this one because it can use gas/flux core, 120V, and in my price range, and all the lincoln welder im seeing that are comparable only go up to 1/8" thickness. Thoughts?

For that much youre better off tossing in another 100$ and looking at something like a Hobart handler 140...try to stick with a bigger name brand like Hobart, Miller, or Lincoln.
My reading experience with cambell welders are usually related to poor cycle duty complaints.
