Yes.
No.
That stuff is great.
Be sure to use a Wix or Napa Gold filter.

What climate? 15w40 is definitely thick for my climate, but T6 5w40 has been working great in my jeep! Smooth as butter starts at 0*F.
I will probably switch to 10w30 when the temps warm up though.
X2 on the Wix/Napa Gold filter though.

Several brands of filters are black including WIX (some models), Mopar, Bosch, and Mobil1, all of which are good, there may be some others to.
The stock filter (Mopar M090, Purolator L\PL14916, WIX 50185, Napa 1085, Fram PH 16) is relatively short.
You can easily fit an "over-sized" filter using a filter for the "old" Ford 302 (Motorcraft FL1A, Purolator L\PL30001, WIX 51515/ Napa 1515, Bosch 3500, etc.). These will offer more filter surface area and increase oil capacity by aprox. 1/2 qt.
For the original question I've used Rotella (T5 or T6) in my Jeep since I got it with no issues. 15w40 is a bit heavy for winter if you live some place that gets below freezing. 5w30, 5w40, or 10w30 (though the 5ws would be preferred) would be more appropriate for areas that get below freezing during winter, 15w40 should be fine for summer though or for areas in the south that don't get below freezing.

Well maybe il switch to 10w40 or 5w40 when I change my oil soon. Then in the spring il go back to the 15w40.
Im glad to hear good things about rotella. I didn't wanna have to find a different brand of oil to use.

I'm currently running Rotella 15w-40 and a Napa Gold 1515 filter. I have read that our 4.0's like the zinc in the Rotella, that is why I switched.
