I think I know where I'd go if I needed one!
Yeah, now that you know what size socket you need. I checked the size on a Renix nipple before heading to the JY and it was 7/8. Get there and find the later nipple requires 15/16.

Don't forget a screw driver, hammer, and giant channel locks to get the orange filter off, screwed on impossibly tight despite that handy bedliner...

Call me old fashioned, but I like a good strap wrench.

I know, I know, that takes all the fun out of it...

I run t6 rotella (5w40 synthetic) and a wix 51515 filter year round. the visible parts under the valvecover and oil pan are very clean. I see no sludge or deposits. I will say after running the oil for ~15k miles the engine has gotten a bit noisier, but nothing worrisome. it was unusually quiet when I got it.

So I'm still confused. I have an 88 and want to run a 1459. Do I have to change my threads?

Yes. 1987-1990 4.0Ls have a metric-threaded oil filter adapter.

Not sure if that filter will fit in your engine bay without hitting the frame/fender/engine mount
