Default Best Jeep Mechanics in Lower Mainland, BC?

Hi there

New to Jeeps, and to add to that neither my wife nor I have had a car since we lived in the lower mainland. We live in the Metro Vancouver, BC area. We got the XJ and now we need a trusted mechanic, preferably one that is familiar with Jeeps and the 4.0 I6.

We have been to a well rated shop locally for our needs since we got the Jeep but I'm not sure I trust them 100%, so I am looking for recommendations.

So dear forum users from the Metro Vancouver area in BC, Canada. Do you have a preferred mechanic to work on your Jeep?

I like to work on it myself, but sometimes that's not feasible (I live in an apartment and work long hours).

I've checked online several times and many of the shops that were recommended a few years ago are no longer open (Jeep Thrills is one) and many of the posts are older so I don't know if the lists are up to date...

Anyone have any recommendations?

Thanks!

Thanks EZEARL! I posted another thread (link below) on the issues I am having.

I also want to have a good mechanic for the instances I can't do something myself. I don't have much space (live in an apartment) and have very little time with work. I prefer to do work myself, but sometimes I just would rather bring it to a trusted mechanic and let them do their thing!

I'll look at the sub-forum you linked above. You are right, I'll probably get more results!
