Default bfg at vs general grabber at2

So im looking for a good AT tire...ive run bfg at's before and i really like em, but the general grabber at2 interests me. Very similar tread pattern between the two but the grabber is about 40 bucks less a tire! Whats everyones thoughts on the bfg at vs the grabber at2? Are the bfg's really worth 40 bucks more a tire?

From what iv heard, most people don't have a problem with the grabbers, I was gonna get those for the same reason lol. But then I decided to go with the Hankook ATMs.

As you can see here the grabbers are rated higher then the BFGs:

Both are excellent tires. I prefer the BFGs though. One, the BFGs are a bit quieter. Two, the Grabbers are very picky about suspension issues. Any problems (ball joints, tie rods, etc.) and they start to cup real quick. Third, they don't tend to last as long (I've only seen 40-45K with the Grabbers, whereas I've gotten over 60K with the BFGs). Lastly, I had an issue with the grabbers chucking tread blocks on one set.

However, before running for the exits, don't. I've run the Grabbers 3 different times, and as long as you are religious about rotating them (I did it every 3K), they will wear just fine. They also work great in deep snow. Much like the All Terrains, though, they aren't all that great in really wet conditions. Nor, do they perform exceptionally well on ice, also like the All Terrains.

In conclusion, if money is tight, I wouldn't hesitate to get the Grabbers. However, if you can afford the difference, I'd pick up the All Terrains.

You could always go with the falken rock mountains. They have a nice aggressive tread pattern and are cheaper then both of the tires you listed.

I've had both and even though I like the BFG's better I still really liked the General Grabbers and think they're a good tire.
