That's what I'm liking about these. I'm sure they will perform a lot better than what I got now. My bounce right is terrible.

My jam nut never loosened and I was pretty hard on the 4 I had. Oh well. And get 278/75 valving. What coils are you running?

Don't get me wrong. I'm not trying to bad mouth them or stray anyone away from buying them.
Honestly I think the issue is improper installation or wrong application after reading some threads.

But do you know if they are discontinued or is that guy full of BS.

Rough country for now. It was not that bad till the shocks started pissing.
And yea I know I made a mistake buying from them lol.

I just wanted to know your spring rate before I go and tell you to run a shock that's too stiff for your coils. On road it'll be great but it can get funky going fast off road. Anyway, 255/70 is the "standard" valve everyone runs but if you get the 7100s I'd run the next step up its 275/78 or something. The 320 valve would be too much.

Really. I don't know what the rate is I have as of now. But I certainly don't drive fast offroad. It's mostly crawling. I'm not worried about pavement driving.
I'll consult Rough Country to see what I have but I do plan on changing the springs and long arms to Clayton soon so it really does not matter what's in there now.

I'd still get the 278 valve.

i prefer the control firmer shocks offer. the ride is different, but not bad. also helps keep the heavier axles/wheels/tires under control at speed. (be it pavement or offroad)

Emulsion shocks are a different breed even when compared to 5150s... They don't have an IFP to separate oil and nitro and will overheat quickly offroad.

My rig isn't a trail rig but a hunting rig. I don't hardcore off-road. So what do you consider quickly?

I'm thinking desert racing with the constant shock travel at high speeds.
