Buy a parts ZJ to upgrade my XJ?
I can get a '93 V8 ZJ for $300, motor runs but it doesn't drive. Should I pick it up and use it to upgrade stuff on my XJ?
Things that should be fairly easy to upgrade:
Tie rod ends
Tracbar
Pitman arm
Tranny Cooler
Shifter ****
Front springs and isos
Front seats
Front Swaybar
Wheels
Things that would be a little more work
Gas tank skid
I'm thinking for $300 I can just use the stuff off it that I want, pull and sell the engine for $100, and take the rest to a JY and get at least $150 back out of it. I was going to buy ZJ front springs for $50 anyway, so the rest of the parts would basically be free. Anyone see any flaws in my thinking?

Do the rear seat swap as well while you're at it. Might as well have a matching interior. Plus you get the 60/40 split that way. Not hard to do, just takes a decent amount of time.

I'll probably do the rear seats but save that project for the spring since it takes so long. Great write up in your sig no_rdplz, that should help a lot.
Anyone think it'd be a dumb idea to buy it? Money isn't super tight but I don't want to throw away $300...

Thanks for bolstering my confidence, I emailed the person so hopefully I can get it soon.
I looked through the junkyard upgrade threads and I think I have most of the major items listed that I can snag off the '93, but are there any upgrade parts missing from my list that you guys/gals know about? Is the brake booster, master cylinder, prop valve or the caliper/rotors themselves an upgrade for an XJ? What about the fans or radiator?
Sorry if it's been covered on this forum already, but I have searched and just kept finding the same list of things re-posted everywhere.

one other thing you could snag is the tcase skid if it has it. You'll need to drill and bolt it in, but it's larger and better than the xj one. Everything you've listed is pretty much it.
