Can I fit 31's on stock XJ with upcountry suspension?
I'd really like some treadwright guard dogs and the smallest size is 31's. I've sat mine next to a reg. xj and it looks to be about 2 inches taller(to me anyways). On stock wheels, can I run 31s? I do go wheeling from time to time, nothing major. I know I can run 30's. Sooooo, can someone with more experience than I let me know before I go buy them????

So, you're saying I can't go wheeling because of rubbing, or just the capability of the stock lift? I don't have the extra money right now for a lift, but can pick up some treadwright guard dogs for pretty cheap. I need tires badly anyways..

On a stock lift, there is just no where for the tires to go upon flex. Rubbing, killing tires just to big of tire for stock. Grab some spacers and shackles. Not to expensive, then 31's would be fine.

Why settle for 30s? It would literally cost you the price of a single tire (or cheaper) to lift your Jeep a couple inches. Upcountry gave a 1" lift. Add a 2" coil spacer and an AAL to your leaf pack and you'll be good to go.

Dang, not bad at all. Ive got the mid 70's ford springs up front with 2" blocks in the rear. I may get these to add a lil more lift. Thanks.
