Default Can I put the OEM seat covers in the washer?

Hey guys, the front seats in my 95 XJ are just horribly disgusting. I know that they can be pulled off. I was wandering, can I throw them in the washer and then just hang them up to dry? They're all cloth (with a little bit of faux leather, thats what im worried about screwing up). Anyone tried this before? If yall dont think I should do this then Im just gonna spray em down with simple green then pressure wash em.

you should not put them in the washer....especially if it has faux leather. you would ruin the leather that's treated with chemicals while it was being made washing it will definitely leave it dry. your best bet would be is to take it to dry cleaners.

take em to the quarter car wash on a warm sunny day.....
Ive done multiple sets of them like that with no problems. you will be amazed at the dirt that comes out of the cloth. The cloth is the only part I directly spray.
Do it early in the morning so they have all day out in the sun to dry.

I'v done the washer thing... without damage. Although most times i'll just pull the seats on a HOT day and hit them with a bucket of soapy water and the hose. Takes a good day or two to dry.. which can be sped up by periodically pushing down on cushions to expel water once it accumulates in a section.

I have Tan seats and wheelin/mud gets them dirty easy.. i washed em once a year.
