IDK bout y'all but my 2000 XJ came with a fabric one with clips to the spare tire cover, and any other of the small metal clips in the cargo area

My limited had the cover and it was cut out for the spare.... but my pioneer has the rear factory tire carrier and no cargo cover and my parts jeep had the cover without the cut out for the spare!!

The one in the pic is def not an XJ cover. My Limited has one & I wouldn't part with it. Built-in wood/metal covers are a pain and take up room. The one in older XJs like mine are way different (& better IMO) than the newer ones. The new ones don't self-retract. The reason yours is a pain to roll up is because it's broken.
