#of cars destroyed by rearending you
Here's a question I've been interested in for awhile. Since getting my '96 Cherokee I've been rear ended 3 times. 2 by cars and once by a plumbers truck. In each case the front end of the vehicle doing the rearending has been absolutly destroyed, with "minor" damage to my cherokee. Is this common or have I been lucky.

I don't have a hitch either.
Yeah, by minor, I mean bent bumper/exhaust, broken exhaust hangers, dings and paint scrapes. Repairs much less than $1000. Driving away, while the other car is undrivable.

my jeep took a full on hit to the rear bumper by a Lexus IS300. Lexus = screwed (punctured radiator, front bumper/clip ripped off, belt shredded after the fan bent and got into the track, busted trac-bar, etc, etc, etc), my XJ = replaced bumper from salvage yard and lost a plastic end cap.

old people should have to take a road test every 2 years because of how they are a road hazard due to their deteriorating reaction times.

You lost an end cap? That sucks! You should sue him. LOL.
Its not an XJ story but when I was in my CJ7 I jot hit head on by a dude in a BRAND new lexus. No no I mean it still had the sticker in the window! I ended up on his hood. Crushed his window in and the entire front clip was GONE. I had a wooden bumper, broke that, home depot for $20 worth of a new bumper. blew out my front tire, junk yard $10. he tried to sue me a few months down the road, was his fault, but his insurance company totaled his car.

i think we should create a new name for this type of personality, and call it the Lexus-Complex. it's like the Napoleon Complex, but for Lexus owners.
