I've done nothing against the TOS. The mods all know I'm back. I'm friends with most of the mods, truth be told, and I adore 'em.

If you want to report me for making a joke, in a thread that countless other jokes in the same nature have been made, be my guest. No skin off my back

 

Now that you put in your 2 cents here's mine:

Have you met in person anyone you've met on here? I'm almost willing to bet not. There are some skeezy, sketchy and gross members here(personal opinion) who I wouldn't want to meet or associate with. However the vast majority of members are just your average every-day people who all happen to like their Cherokees.

I've met about a dozen members, and they were are some of the most down-to-earth and reasonable guys I've met, I've never had such a good time at the beach as I did that day.

I don't see any issues with her looking for whatever she may be looking for on here, so long as she's smart about it. Doesn't scream desperate, says that she's smart to try and find a guy who has the same interests as her.

I met my girlfriend, now my baby daughters mother, and my soon-to-be fiance through facebook. We did things the smart way, met in public the first few times and let our friendship and eventually relationship take its natural course at a pace we were comfortable with. I couldn't be happier, nor could I see myself being with anyone else.


Oh and one more thing.....

I understand that now that I took time to actually read it, saw alot about your thread.... But common really, this girl is 18! And by all means no offense to this girl, she is young and hasnt developed "classy" yet. I do not mean that in a mean way at all! Todays world is different now, heck everyone now a days gets married from metting off the internet! Some of us are smarter than that... But to put her down the way you did with ur comments was uncalled for. This girl has a mom and dad. Im sure she doesnt need another. She doesnt need anyones parenting skills. Now you and I BOTH AGREE that that doesn't refer to the entire site and all the users. And the same can be said about ANY internet website, regardless of the general site topic.

But that's my point. I think it's a little silly and dangerous for a young girl to be blatantly looking for someone on here. Or anywhere. That ISNT a dating site.

Facebook is different in a sense that at this point, almost everyone is a mutual friend of a mutual friend of a mutual friend.


And no, to answer your question, I haven't met anyone off this site - yet. But that's because I live in Northern Canada, and there aren't many Canadians on this site. However there is one, and he and I are planning a short wheeling trip on Monday or Tuesday before I move on Wednesday.

HOWEVER, I'm not 18, I've lived long enough to know if I can or can't handle my own, and what my comfort grounds are.



I think it's a little funny and hypocritical that my ONE joke was picked out and ripped apart, after I made a serious comment in regards to one of her jokes - which was along a similar topic. What's with the double standards, guys?
