Hello all, new to the forum and new to owning an XJ! I have been driving my xj for a couple months with little modifications due to the harsh winter but have been trying to get it back up to snuff lately.

I do not have a parking brake at all and I cannot find any online to buy. Is there anywhere I can buy one or does anybody have info on what one looks like / the tools required to get one from the junkyard. My local junkyard has plenty of cherokees so that won't be a problem. My inspection is due in 30 days and it will not pass without it!!

** Note that I found the parking brake cables were cut and those are replaced - the actual parking brake assembly is gone.

I bought my e-brake cables of E-bay they also had the part that the cables hook to at the e-brake handle.

Thanks for the quick reply. That is what I need I believe - that handle or the assembly at large.

I just picked one up from pic-a-part.
My release button broke.
You'll need a Phillips screwdriver and 10mm socket and a slotted screwdriver.
The slotted screwdriver for removing the cable clamp and its a pain in the a$$.
