just subbing for later reading. Liking the ideas here. picked me up a extra set of factory roof rack cross bars at the JY today. I'm kinda digging the four rectangle setup. Has any one wired a set up like this into their high beams? I want mine to come on with my bright lights, but want to be able to control them separately as well.

For the Rack I mounted on multiple factory cross over bars. The main roof rails have fasteners replaced with expanding bolt anchor nuts so they won't pull out.
The rack is 2" 304 Stainless Tube, 16ga wall, I have access to tooling so I crimped the ends from round to "L" and punched some holes. Rack bottom is 304SS 1/8 x 3/4 bars. Lots of stainless 1/4 fasteners thru the stock cross overs.
Had a low cost set of lights mounted on a stock cross for many years. Worked very well and didn't cost much to maintain if I broke a light. In the interim years I was saving my old Silverstar headlites, the Hi beams still worked. (I gave up on the Silverstars, no longevity, used multiples each year, running XTravision now and no more headlite burn outs). Recently revised the roof lighting setup to reuse the Hi beams of the Silverstars. 25 amps of really insane lighting now.
Power your setup thru relays to carry the lighting load. Today's LED bars are really really nice, but you may want to fab your own idea for less price.

Silverstars Reused
Fred, those pillar pod switch mountings are really cool!
I messed up the original post and my current light pics didn't get posted.
Reused burnt out Silverstars, the Hi beams still work. Wire setup is dual 12 ga inside the door weather strip fed from dual 30 amp relays. Actual amp pull total is 25 but I preferr to keep any hot spots under control. Been playing with the forward aim. The ladder fram pulled a little when welded, to give an arc spread as the Hi beams are more pencil than fan pattern. The world turns white when on. Like those posts of the side and rear lighting. Will have to go back to the lite bin and more work on the Peep.

Installed 4 Baja (12 bucks a pair on hamazon) square lights on a factory roof rack cross bar. The light output is amazing considering I only have like $40 in the whole set-up. wired them with a DPDT toggle and a couple JY relays so they can either come on with my high beams, independently or off completely.
