XJ are super dependable! cant kill them!!!
if your willing to constantly fix things until you have a brand new vehicle... then yes! lol i love the pocess though. they are pretty dependable if well maintained.

I agree, however it is completly true that the XJ itself has a warped sense of humor when it comes to mechanical failure. If I ever say out loud, "the jeep is running great" within a week something will break. If my wife ever refers to it as "the F-ing jeep" (which she does often) something will break. When I fix one thing, something else will break
If I keep it covered in mud/sand/snow, keep at least one thing rattling somewhere, drive it like I stole it, and have at least two things at all times that need to be "fixed" it runs like a champ

Over 536000 km on the Peep XJ, constant maintenance, runs like a trooper.
Other vehicles I've had could be considered maintenance free (can't be fixed).
