Default cherokee thoughts?

http://williamsport.craigslist.org/cto/3953069393.html

looking at buying this cherokee, i just wanted some opinions on what you guys might pay for it. It has a little rust on the rockers but still solid. Things it will need:

Rear main seal leaks a little
driver side regulator (2door)
ball joints

thanks everyone!

Looks nice and would be a great starting point for what ever you wanted to do. Price is low compared to what they want around here.

If you get this one, clean the engine and SEE where it is leaking. There are several places where our XJ's will leak and it will LOOK like it is leaking from the RMS and it is NOT. Ball joints are fairly easy to replace. I can't help you with the window as I haven't ever had to fix that yet.

Price depends where you live that could be cheap or high,Look around craigslist more see what other nice xjs go for around you.To me 2200 to 2500 is what i would pay it for it.Look up the blue book on it in your area and see how far off his price is.With it having some problems use that to talk the price down. And cash speaks louder then words.

I like it. Around here it would be a good deal as long as it is as described.

Pretty clean. I'd offer 3300 and see what happens.

I paid $2000 for my 98 2 door with 120,000 miles and it was as clean as a 98 could get. I happened to be in the right place at the right time, and wouldn't expect to be able to buy it again for less than 3500.

Its funny because I believe KBB subtracts a couple hundred for 2 Doors, but it seems like they usually sell for more than a 4 Door would, especially 97+.
