While through the 2004 WJ the Xttera was behind in the offroading world.. In 2005 when Jeep took there grand cherokee to the WK platform they fell back to the Xterra with going to IFS. Leaving the two 4x4's on a much more even playing feild with each other.
The Xterra (Frontier) has been as good as it gets for 4x4 suv's that has IFS over the years.. I'd rank them right up there with the WK all day long and only just a little behind the XK which IMO was the only top to bottom great IFS Jeep produced to date..
