Honestly the only Chinese Jeeps I'd buy would be the BAW BJ2500/BJ4000 (called something else now) or the BAW WJ4000/WJ4700... I wish they still sold those here, if they brought them over from China, I'd consider one.

Now JunK owners will have a valid excuse for making them look as stupid as a F&F movie car. "Yo dawg check out my color changing LED light bar and halos! Got that StreetGlow Under car neon and rocklights to boot!!" Dude...your "jeep" now looks like a rolling Elton John concert.
That makes me want to use this forum less.

But in this butthurt generation, everthing is offensive so let's change the name of the forum to Cherokee&JkForum.com..

So your pissed that I made fun of JKs on a CHEROKEE forum? Wow. If you read my post you would clearly see I made fun of the ones who deck it out in excessive colored LEDs. But on the other hand, go to any other Jeep forum/page (I'm on two others under different names) and all the JK owners look down on us other models but it's apparently not ok to throw it back because it's financed? Not saying all JK owners are like that but over 70% are. Hell, a few of the mods here own them and aren't jerks about it. One even owns a YJ. We give him crap all the time but guess what?, the damndest thing happens, he throws it back and laughs it off. Everyone who's been around long enough, and a few of the newer crew all know I'm not a fan of them so it's not a big secret. Besides, I know a few who got a laugh at those two jokes.
But in this butthurt generation, everthing is offensive so let's change the name of the forum to Cherokee&JkForum.com..

You can call it a butthurt generation all you want, but I don't go making fun of how crappy and unreliable XJs are here. In fact, as much as I've come to dislike the XJ compared to the experience of my JK, I still come here just for the Jeep atmosphere and my friends who convinced me NOT to leave the forum.
But if I have to read how every post-2001 Jeep is a piece of junk every time I click on a thread, then why do it? I mean I have a 2012 Jeep, so I guess you all just think I drive a piece of **** right?
EDIT: Maybe I should clarify why your analogy doesn't fit here. I'm the lone JK owner here and if I say one thing that speaks down to the XJ as you say, every member of this forum will essentially flame me and I'll get labeled as a troll (perhaps even moderated). Whereas, when you folk as the majority bully us, it's perfectly fine? That's not a healthy environment for an intra-Jeep website (especially one where you welcome Cherokee KL owners in addition to XJ owners). That's the recipie for an 'elitist' group.
And the other thing that bothers me: I chose to stay with this website, and I'm not currently a member of any JK websites. You and I have talked with one another in the past just as we are right now, albiet not under such circumstances, and you never would have known I liked JKs more than XJs because I didn't rub it in everyone's face. As much as I see crap from JK people talking about XJ people on Instagram, I never took that road there nor here. So if I give that little bit of respect to you, I'm just a butthurt if I want it back? K.
If I drove a Toyota I would understand, but if you're gonna put labels on your own Jeep family, that's not cool. Perhaps set an example rather than keeping the onslaught going.

My post was ENTIRELY towards the "riced out" JKs. So I don't see how you saw otherwise. Trash talk is what a majority of us do on the trail regaurdless of what make model you drive.
As for welcoming KL owners to CF, it's a Cherokee! While not a XJ, it's still a Cherokee. Same for all the Grand models. So we need to set up a Welcome section for Wranglers on a Cherokee site?! If you have one and love it, good for you. But this isn't a Wrangler Forum. We even have a "Other Vehicles" section for anything not Cherokee. While not a tech/repair section, that's as close to a Wrangler section as this place can be. Now JeepForum is ALL makes mixed in but this is a Cherokee specific forum.
I'm being very nice here. So sorry if you took the jokes to heart there but nothing I posted was out of line in directly attacking any member here.
Hell, one of our staff here gets paid to drive a HOT PINK Jk, yes pink. You can only imagine the crap we give him over it, but he knows they are jokes and laughs it off.
We've all eased up here a little over the past few years and even allow for some slight ribbing. Hell, my MJ is a total s***box, but she's MY s***box that I wheel. Do I miss my 86 XJ, Hell yes I do. But I still own a Jeep. Just be happy with whatever rig/model you have as it's yours YOU paid for, not us. But you can't get upset whenever a model specific tech site doesn't cater to or ribs a certain model.

Personally, I know nothing about JKs and really don't care if people **** on them.
You and seven other people actually believe that. If this is all about all Cherokees, where's the SJ board?

When I read your post I heard you taking a whole body of "JunK" owners and making fun of them. But why backpedal on the LED parts when that clearly wasn't the epicenter of what you were saying?

We don't need the Jeep morality/SJW police combing these forums or any Jeep forums for that matter making sure everyone one is being Jeep PC/inclusive.
People will make fun of other people, oh well. It happens in every hobby. Most of the time it is light hearted and sometimes it's not, oh well again.

As for FSJ's (Waggoners and Trucks), we (a few Staff) have been discussing about adding a section for those. It may not be as in depth as the compacts but would be something like the KL section. I put it out in Suggestions about six months back but received no response from anyone yet.

Only one problem. This is an XJ group and not a JK group. Of course you'd get flamed if you criticized XJs.
Personally, I know nothing about JKs and really don't care if people **** on them.So let me get this straight. You've got your panties in a twist because someone criticized your car for not being the subject of this community, but it's okay to criticize a Toyota for the same reason? That's like saying, "I'm not racist! I like black people. It's Jews I can't stand."You and seven other people actually believe that. If this is all about all Cherokees, where's the SJ board?

@OutlawStar you've got my full respect, but I hear stuff like that day in and day out from everyone. People here, people there, online or real life. And people generalize ALL JK owners with the people who make nothing more than rolling Pep Boys' advertisements. It gets old. I even see TJ people doing that to JK people, so it's not just a Cherokee vs. Wrangler thing here. I joined these forums as an XJ owner, I almost left as a JK owner, and I stayed as a JK owner. At this point in time, I have no plans to leave.
As petty as all of this really is (yep, I'm partial to everything you've already said in this thread because I'm an ex-XJer as well), it really sucks to be a JK guy on an XJ forum where everyone's going to make you feel like the thing you worked hard for is crap. But do I want to be on a JK forum instead? Not really. My XJ was my first vehicle and this place feels like home to me. But the more anyone on this forum outcasts its members, old or new, it will become less of such for anyone like me. Only difference? – some will be silent about it and won't speak up to defend themselves.

So what you're saying is you didn't like MY tongue-and-cheek humor where I tried to unite all of us, or is that just not gonna happen here? Or am I the only one that's not allowed to spit jokes because I have a JK? I figured all us Jeep-owners would be on the same page with that one, but I guess that was a stretch.

I will also state this as I did on both the local clubs pages, "You will be able to tell who the real Jeep lovers are here very shortly. Yes, the ones who praised the JK as the REAL and ONLY model to have. The posers will be the first ones to trade their "precious REAL Jeep" in for the new JL once it's released because they don't want to be the obsolete models." These are the same dbags who push the "You have bad credit" memes.
You're welcome to stay around as long as you like as well.

I have a half-Toyota half-Subaru. So I'm halfway offended.
Or not at all since who cares.

Okay, I've gotta chime in here. Yes, sometimes we all do some ribbing here...and yes, I rip on people with JK's too...however, as far as JK owners being part of the Jeep "family", I have to disagree on that one. NOT ALL JK OWNERS, BUT A MAJORITY. The reason I say that, Lee already outlined above, these are the guys that just want to flex their wallets to look like a badass, won't ever wheel it for fear of getting scratched and dirty, yet look down their noses at everyone else NOT driving one like them...and brag about how much this cost, and how much that cost, how many LED's they got...because it's a status symbol to them...nothing more. They could care less about the off road community in general. Just because there's a tag that says Jeep on the body, does not mean an it's an all-inclusive pass into the jeep "family", IMO
Some of the guys here know, but for those that don't, I'll wheel with ANYONE, no matter what they drive. The group I go to KOH with every year is a prime example, there's everything from vintage sandrails to full blown tube buggies in our group...old CJ's that are beat to hell, Sammies, S10 pickup trucks...and you know what? They all show MAD respect for everyone on the trail...but as soon as you get back to camp, they all talk smack on each other, and laugh it off.
So here's what I'm gonna say on the subject. Take the smack talk tongue in cheek...if you're sensitive about things said on the internet, grow some thicker skin...I'll compare it to television...if you don't like what's on? Change the damn channel.
