Default Confirm my rear end?

It appears to be a Chrysler 8.25. Am I correct in thinking so?

Yep its a decent axle, yours is a 29 spline 8.25, they came factory from 97- 01. They also made a 27 spline 8.25 from 91-96. The diffrence is more splines and bigger diameter shafts.

Its also has 3.55 gearing if your jeep is a 4.0 with a auto trans if its a 4.0 with a manual trans than you got 3.07 gears

The gears in this are long it feels like. Feels like it takes forever for the auto to switch. Very different from my Mustang with 3.73 stock.

Unsure purchased this vehicle a few months ago. Its the 4.0 (not sure if its HO or not). Not sure what my tranny is, I will need to get under there tomorrow and see if its stamped anywhere. Not sure if it has a factory tow package or not, but it does have a hitch receiver installed.

Its an HO if its not a Renix. Renix are 87-90, all other 4 liters are HO.

Comparing a Mustang to a Cherokee is like apples to oranges.
