couple ?'s for your 2-door owners & 5-speeds
I am in need of a new Jeep Cherokee because i love mine to death but found while i was doing my rear shocks a couple spots on the frame rails that were really soft...now i want another cherokee and i found a beautiful 2-door 5-speed...now my questions
- with serious offroading have you seen any door fitment issues because i have heard rumors that the doors could close less effectively when offroaded on 2-doors due to lack of the extra pillar...
-plus how are 5-speeds offroad i dont want to be getting into something that shouldnt be offroad since auto's are good i was just wondering if manuals are good or bad offroad how hard is it to offroad in a standard?

I offroad in my 5 speed all the time. I prefer it. Automatics are easier, but you have more control with a manual.

the doors welll mine have flexed and popped while offroading but they still close fine to me i had to adjust the passanger one once it got a little sidways but its good now

in 96 they added TONS more strength to the body, i have a 96 2door 5speed that i wheel. i have had it on two wheels (front driver rear passenger) i have had it near on its side, rocky rocky river bottoms, hills, you name it no issues! i love wheeling with the 5 speed, more control. A little of a hassle sometimes but never a real issue!
i would go grab it! they are rare!!!
