Default Cutting fenders

I wanna put some 33s in my Cherokee I'm buying a 4 in lift, what's the best way to cut the fenders so bushwacker flares will work?

You might not have to trim them much and still use the stock flares. My 32's fit on my 3 inch lift and rubbed very little in a hard turn. I trimmed some of the bottom corners of the inner fender and was golden.

But then I trimmed and went for the wide look.

On one of my xj's i had a 4.5 lift and 33 12x50. i just trimmed the back of the fender near the doors. and left the rears alone. i remounted the stock flares on with some bolts.

X2 for me as well. You'll most likely want to use a cutting wheel when doing it by the way.

maybe for skinny 32's but when i went to 33x12.5's with a 3-4ish lift, I had to do a good bit of cutting as it rubbed pretty good in the front

cut everything out with a cut off wheel and remounted the stock flares with self tappers

my axle is forward 1-2" and I still had to trim ~3" off of the back of the wheel well to fit 33x12.50s at full lock and stuffed

3-4ish? Which one? And this guy said 4, I had More then an Inch of clearance left. and I have a 3". Like I said I trimmed a little of the plastic on the inside and was good and that's because it would rub when pulling in/out of a drive apron at almost full lock.

None one will know exactly what he needs to do, because jeeps sit different. I would just suggest putting the tires on and trim accordingly. Unless of coarse you are set on getting bushwhackers then you can trim it up nice. Which is what I did on the front, haven't got to the back.

No. Don't bumpstop to limit uptravel just so you don't have to trim more. That's flat out ridiculous.

See I have skyjacker 3" but I have a pic sitting next to a 5.5 lift XJ and we are almost even. He has bushwhackers on his tho.

I did add shackles but that was to level it out.

I like the trimmed look. I was jsut throwing out the option of leaving the stock flares because he mentioned BW's

I use a cheap off brand 4" snag grinder permanently set up with cut off wheels, always ready to go. Wear your glasses and gloves.

Actually it would be better to bumpstop, trim some, and get shocks that are made for the limited uptravel and give more drop which in turn give more flex.
But we all do things diff.
