Seems like they would work fine if you were pulling on them from the front. I don't think they'd come out so well at an angle.

They'd need a plate to connect them to each other.

Yea possibly. But hopefylly nate4x4 can come up with sonething good for a decent price

have not tried them out yet, but it's 1/4" base plate sandwiched between 2 more 1/4" plates. 1/2" grade 8 hardware. should be plenty strong.

Detours has some that bolt to a 2" receiver.

so what about these bolted to the stock front bumper with big washers behind them so they dont rip threw?

I think that is a pretty terrible idea, you need to have a recovery point that is tied into something solid. unless you are just using them for looks, I would not use them.

Im in the same boat as you.. I want something just like this... Have the steel and gonna build some for mine, same idea as what you posted basically. 1/4 plate with 1/4 tabs or so... gonna hold a 3/4 d ring nicely... Have all the ahrdware too

Or look up XJ Strykers build thread in the Southeast area.. he has some from high country offroad before they closed... he wont get me a good pic though lol...
