rearends are a bit cheaper. I had about a grand into my dana 60 with 35 spline alloy shafts, spool, disc brakes, gears, cover and new wear items.

to build a front 44 up nicely with all new wear items, gears, locker, upgraded shafts, cover, etc you are looking at close to $2000. Of course this price can go up with nicer parts, and go up if you have to pay somebody to install the gears.

i found a set of d60s with 4.56s for under $2000 with locker in rear. thats the cheapest ive found down here. but he also has a 44hd that i would probably get cheaper and i think a 44hd would be fine in front. but theres a huge difference in price between full widths and a 44/8.8, i know the smaller ones will probably do it for me but if i ever wanted to go bigger i could with 44/60
I'm willing to bet thats a fullwidth 44 as well. will need to be narrowed to match the 8.8 width in the rear.
hd 44's are 8 lug as well. 8.8s are 5 on 4.5. thats another thing you will have to figure out.

Ok I've made my decision. D60s it is. Front and rear. Now I just have to start piecing everything together. What kinda steering setup should I run that would work the best. This will be the first thing I've done to this jeep that I had to piece stuff together for and not just buy a kit so any advice

Doesnt get it near the right width, and
oesnt get you the right lug pattern
Personally i would get some highsteer arms and run a crossover steering setup. Its really all dependent on what you want to spend, how tall you are building it, and what you want from a steering setup.
