they have a machine that punches and plugs it. Glad the yard I go to doesn't drain fluids. I've heard stories of people leaving the plugs in because they don't know any better and whatever fluid it's holding back pours out everywhere.

The sellersame has been really shady so Idk I'll end up getting it. He lives 2 hours away and every time I ask him questions about the axle he has been real short and not provided a lot of information.

Lol im am guilty of this i was changing my tranny fluid n my boy had this great idea of putting a drain plug in the pan for a cleaner fluid change n that didnt work out it was leakin so i went n got a tranny pan from the yard because my boy didnt wanna weld the old pan up and i couldnt find a parts store that carried the stock ones n even if i ordered the pan id have to wait 3 to 5 days n didnt wanna wait that long. I really wanted to get me a heavy duty trans pan with drain plug already in it n was willing to drop The $ on one but i couldnt find anyone that makes them for the zj. So i installed the one from the yard with the rubber plug which i questioned n thought we should weld it up n the same buddy Who had the bright idea of puttin a drain plug in the 1st pan said it would be good (he was just being lazy n didnt wanna weld the pan up for me) but luckily i wasnt driving while it poped out n thank god a jiffy lube was across the street they hooked it up with a screw in plug n i had a buch of extra fluid in my jeep from the 1st couple times i had to drop the pan but it looked like i parked on some one and killed them lol. That screw in plug saved my but tho it got me home n i finally got my boy to weld the stinkin pan up for me smh. I think i am going to take a welding course so i dont have to depend on any one to do my welding for me. Its crazy how somethin so easy turned into a nightmare so fast

I have the 8.25 and probably going to stay with it for now. Jeep started acting up today so I'll put the money towards whatever the outcome is once i figure out the problem.
