Davis auto sports? Any luck

Sounds like a nightmare!
If you're still out there,
curious as to the procedure on buying from Davis especially for out of State people?
I Contacted them after seeing their vehicles and their EBay reviews and other reviews and wired them the payment. They checked out with the legal avenues as far as making sure they weren't scam artists (or so it seemed).
Sounds like you bought it and then they rebuilt it (6 mo. wait build time)?
Did you buy the Jeep sight unseen, just pics or in person 'before' the build?
Do you still own it? Any pics? Pics of the rust?
Still own it. You can see my other reply to link to the pics on their Google Review. Was told the type/year/mileage/build I sought would never go to market so I needed to pay to reserve it and then they'd build it up to my specs. Only saw pics and video prior. Yet never showed undercarriage but assured me it was a "pristine, west coast, rust free vehicle."
If they took you to court and based on what you said, i think you would of had a good case.
Didn't take me to court just threatened to. I'm still working to get their license pulled. They've screwed SO many people that I'm willing to eat the car and resell it honestly as what it is so that these criminals can't sell another vehicle in the US.
From what i'm reading here, instead of Davis Auto Sports it should be instead....

Apologize for the 'one time charlie' type comment.
Many come here with their first and only post never to be heard of again.
I looked at those pics. Nice XJ at least from the outside!
How does it run mechanically?

***Needed to Hire an Attorney**Davis Autosport Buyer Bware!!
Spent over 28K on My Little Red Rusty from NY , Davis claimed it to be built and "ready to go" I have produced a video that shows so many of their dirty dealings, I know by posting this on this sort of forum I am opening myself up to plenty of comments, however, It was a dream of ours to have a nice XJ when we came across DA's website, however we ended up doing our due diligence a month too late, as they had already cashed our check and were delaying in getting our vehicle to us, sadly we too fell victim of the studio lighting and Go Pro Color profile to lead us to believe we were purchasing a show quaility Jeep , head on over to his website, under Google reviews to see the horror and misery we have been through over the past 6 mos. my review is listed under "hire an Attorney" sadly that is what we have had to do, I will update my post if there is or is not any resolve,

While it does suck, I don't understand how ANYONE would justify paying that price for any Cherokee. Average book for a decent stocker is around 4-5k where I live, why on earth would anybody pay 28k for one? I don't care if it was gold plated or had an automatic ******* machine under the driver's side dash, no way, no how. For that amount of money, you could not only buy an XJ, but build it yourself with higher quality components, buy all the tools to make that happen, and STILL have money left over. I'd also be willing to bet you could buy one, have a reputable shop do the work, and still be ahead.
I feel for you guys that pulled the trigger, but my sympathy only goes so far. As stated above, do your due diligence...but don't wait a month to do it, and certainly don't cut them a check until you have. That's just dumb. No offense.
Davis is a predatory company, don't get me wrong. What they sell is all hat and no cattle, as my Grandpa used to say, LOL

WOW! a $28K XJ from rust belt NY too!
Thanks for the 2nd DA warning on this thread.
We all make mistakes, but for me at least that sticker shock would of been a bright red flag!
How bad is the rust?
Yeah, keep us updated on the litigation!

Put some trick wheels, brush guard, rock sliders, aux. lights and a winch on it then paint correct it and i'll bet you could get $30,000 for it.
