It's no concern for me. All I was saying is it's going to faid, stain,& tatter quicker than you think(it might look cool that way). I get what your saying. It is just a flag, but the reason you only see nice flags is because they have the up most respect for what the flag stands for. & it shows pride. Like the marines with their uniforms. I never noticed that this until I was 18 and had to raise and lower the flag every day at work. I was surprised at the people who were serious about taking it in and folding it. It was a reminder that people honestly love America. Leaving it out there isn't a good enough reminder for me. For me it is one inanimate object that shouldn't be easily replaced. It should be illegal that they make/sell such cheap made full size flags(I have). That goes for a lot of things. lol
Maybe it doesn't need to be taught, but like you said not enough people fly the flag so I never picked up on it. Who knows if I ever would have.

Jackup, I respect that. I understand the care and respect of our flag and have also taken the responsibility upon myself raise and lower a flag daily. It is only because flags are so easy to come by that I did this. I was going to buy a screen kit but they are way too much $$$. By the way where I live there are a lot of people that hang a flag and never take it down so I see lots of faded flags.
