I'm right down the road from you I have a 98 xj I do 90 miles a day when I wheel i drive 3-5 hrs wheel for 8 hrs then drive home. no problems.Brakes are normal maintenance trac bar has to be done with a lft the stock will only hold for so long. Be ready for the tie rod to snap normal when wheeling.look into a wj with a v8 its a lot stronger tie rod. Im on the island too if you want to sell the sye or tires or maybe the push bar let me know. I also have a great mechanic who builds the best jeeps on the island... I can put you in touch with him..
Maybe you just got a *****ty XJ...
Cause Ive pulled out a sunk-to-the-frame 1-ton on 3 pulls, which bowed my hitch real good, tweaked the receiver the right, and pushed my rear bumper upwards, but nothing broke, I just pounded everything back with my sledge.
Been thru mud pits that almost touch the doors, and crunched my cross member pretty good on a rock, and mushed the bottom half of one of my doors from getting too close too a tree, and everythings still good.
So, all this talk about disappointment, is stupid and wrong.
Or maybe stop buying parts labeled "made in china"??? <= you deserve what you get with these...

To say the disappointment is wrong is unfair. I've owned an XJ that was so sagged it would bottom out on speed bumps and still would wheel it and NEVER had problems like I do with this one. This one has been on STRICT DD duty for some time now and I still get amazingly bizzare issues.
P.S. I think its hysterical that chinese comes up as incorrect on the spell check haha.

Like I said before though...maybe you just got a s***ty XJ...Im not trying to be mean, it just seems to be a fact.
...and Chinese only comes up on spell check, because you didnt capitalize it.

I'm afraid i may have gotten a ****ty XJ...
TBH though its running fantastically right now. I hope it lasts, but Adj. LCA's and a steering stabilizer then drop pitman arm goes on tomorrow, so well see what happens!
And yeah I realize that chinese needs to be caps, it was a sloppy foreign parts/car joke.
