Here's mine, went with a base coat of olive drab and then went crazy with the four other colors, about 16 cans total.

I like this thread. I do rim resto and have a nice paint set. Thinking about doin mine in olive drab with a satin clear. My B-inlaw wants me to do cammo with a couple coats of clear. It is an interesting idea to me because I don't think I've seen cammo with clear.

With that said I was thinking about doin olive drab with an army star and clear coat. I don't know though, I like the satin look too. Any opinions guys??

Mmmmm satin.
My best kept secret
Everytime I see a "flat black" paint job with tracks all over it, I just laugh
With my 6 cans of rustoleum satin black @ $3.50 each at walleyworld with built in fan spray tip!!!
I have painted about 12 vehicles and ALL of them swear it was a pro job
No fade or peel either (that's a whole nother "prepping is key" story)
Always looks like stealth material
Batmobile/stealth bomber

Yeah I don't like flat either. But I love satin. So how do u think olive drab and an army star with satin clear would look. I don't think they make olive in satin and a rattle can??? Do they??

They make it all in flat satin and gloss
Just gotta look
My fav spots are all the local walmarts (some have colors others don't)
And home depot
Their 97cent paint is FAR superior to the 99cent Walmart variety

You could do olive drab in flat and then satin gloss it

And I would say go for the olive with white star but it's been done
Almost to death
Saw one on here already with it
And there's a bug here in my town with it.
Lol

Lol
Ill have to make a trip to the Ho-depot and check out their selection.

Haha... maybe its been done a lot on here and around u...but around here their is a **** load of XJ's but maybe 1 done in army.so that's good. But I would prolly do satin drab with satin clear. All in rattle can just because its cheaper. I should have no problems making it look prof. I've had enough practice.lol
