thx guys good info. im thinking bout just a little darker shade of red so i guess i can do without primer yea?

sadly I skim read everything. I miss things

red on red? no way. just do 2 coats of the color you like
what is the current condition of your old paint? oxidation, chipping, peeling, dents

the painton it now is in good condition i just want it a little darker. there are a few body inperfections but nothing drastic or unfixable.

yeah just scuff it out with red scotch brite or 500 grit and a power sander if you have one

Heres mine I primed around edges where paint would come off easier its held up well for about 2 years now.

instead of "scuffing" or buying a power sander and warping ur panels

He's rite wet sanding will be emincely better than "just scuffing" that's what I do and it ALWAYS comes out looking professional .../:

when did I correct you? I said I'VE never done it. I didnt know spray paint was made for wet sanding
and figured you would point me in the direction of a spray paint that was made to be wet sanded if it existed
