The Dreemer....HAS RETURNED...!
Hello all XJ faithful!
Thought I would try to make a grand re-appearance in the new year.
Happy belated Holidays and Happy New Year!
With my past experiences of 09, my New Years Resolution is to....
NEVER TAKE MY XJ TO A SHOP EVER AGAIN!!!!!!
Over a grand in parts and labor to fix a seized starter, warped flexplate, taken back within 20 mins of getting her back with a "loose connection" causing the spedo to not work and a rattle from the exhaust. Then again for the oil pan drop clean and reinstall (that they said they were too busy to do).
And FINALLY....yes there is a total of 4 times in the shop...I smelled tranny fluid pretty strong after heading to work. Thankfully mother nature had some snow on the roads...and i could see the awesome trail that lead to my XJ
The flatbed came and took her away... and that was the LAST time I have or ever will let my baby see a shop (atleast this particular shop and ONLY when I absolutely can't do the work myself) The check engine light came on about a week ago, advance said misfire and catalyst codes were showing. I had the plugs and wires just got lazy and didn't put em in BUT now they are in ^_^ No more dummy lights and runs like a MONSTER hehe Kinda nice gettin on the interstate and having to slow down without realizing it.
For now I thank all of you for reading and checking up on me. Feel free to reply with any thoughts or opinions. Also, add me as a friend.
Cheers,
Rich
