My next duty station is twentynine palms, cali and I'm from pa. I needa get my Jeep there and its like a grand to ship it there. Anyone have any thoughts if it'll make that trip easily or any ideas how to get my Jeep the whole way across the us? Farthest I've really ever driven it was 6hrs one day. Thanks guys.

Get all new fluids and filters before the drive and you should be ok as long as she's a strong runner. $1,000 isn't a bad price since you're looking at probably $500+ in gas then more for filters and fluids. Any time you drive you risk breaking down though. I'd personally have it trailered there for a little more than it would cost to drive.

Well all things considered Last trip I made to Missouri from Cali was on 8000 mile old oil and that's 1600mi. As long as you trust your JEEP you'll be fine.

drove from Phoenix to Mechanicsburg a couple years ago, Jeep did great. Had right around 200,000 miles at the time.
change your oil and any other fluids you've neglected in the last couple years before you go. I had recently changed my diffs and transmission fluid in addition to oil change and coolant flush before going.

They charge mileage + usage + more fees if you drop it off at a different location than you picked it up at. It is ridiculous. Plus they guzzle gas like crazy and are expensive to fill. Lol
