your body naturally creates static electricity which constantly discharges in low level when you walk around or touch things. If your wearing man made fibres then this just adds to how quickly the body accumulates the static and the it will discharge as you touch car doors etc. So be glad it's not linked just to your area and climate. nowt realy you can do to fix it except for reducing the amount of man made fibres your wearing

Where did you get this info???? I am not saying it is wrong but as far as I know your body doesn't create static. As I understand it the charge is from the air moving over the body of the car and when you touch the car you become the path of least resistance to ground therfore the static discharges to you. If you look on tanker trucks you will see a drag chain/strap that gives a direct path to ground to avoid shock/static spark.
Am I just misunderstanding you? First you said the body creates static and then you said the body accumulates static. If I understand correctly the later is true.

Last year I read that rubbing a bouce dryer sheet over the interior of your seats and rug will do the trick. It did help significantly but you will have to redo this more often. Also, I placed an extra sheet under my seat in hopes that it would somehow help as well. I do have my dogs in the jeep all the time so i'm sure there is some truth to them creating more static.
