^ THIS.

Also i brought mine to Tire Warehouse, had bought the tires online. They normally charge $80 but in fall and spring they run a Winter/Summer tire changeover special. Came out to like $55.

Maybe it's the location, but there's no chance in hell I'd pay like 16$ a tire for a simple mount/ balance.
Dude seriously? Where the heck? Even walmart charges about 16 bucks a rim. Nice Offroad shops the use wheel force or road force or whatever it's called charge like 25 bucks a rim.

I usually just use one of the many tire shops around that can get it done when I need it, seems the smaller places usually have better pricing (any mom pop style gas stations that have an attatched garage, or small private shops ect..), Walmart here is in the 5-7.50 range for that as well though.

Get on google and start calling around...like I said maybe its just my area but who knows, those prices just don't sound right, and as I said if its a new tire/rim carry in, make sure you tell them that as well when getting prices.

Most places should give you a charge breakdown of mount/dismount is x$, balance is x$, removal of tire from car is x$....if they don't from the start, ask them for it lol.

Called up pepboys and they said that they don't mount and balance tires that they have to be from them. So I called the mom and pops place and they said it'll be around 60-70...

check for any schools in your area that have a auto tech class (high schools, trade schools, community colleges) they might do them for free, or for the cost of the weights. some schools will only do it for students or faculty, but there are some out there that work on stuff for the genneral public.

Around here (WNY) most places won't touch anything unless you bought them there, Pepboys ($25.00/tire) or Goodyear ($30.00/tire). I usually use either one, especially if you are having them put on new/good steel or alum. rims. Some mom pop shops have the dumbest kid doin' it & they hack up the rims...

I'd be so pissed if a lil kid scratched or even worse, dropped and dented my rims

Going rate is usually 10 to mount 10 to balance. Including taking your wheels off and taking the old tires off. Recycling fee etc.

Expect somewhere near 80 bucks. Me and a friend mounted my Baja claws by hand. Haven't balanced them really see no need to

Sams club mounts and balances with a lifetime guarantee for $10/tire. No matter where you bought the tires.

I got mine in my old car done at a little local tire shop for $12/tire. The little noon-chain places will almost always be cheaper and don't care where you got the tires.

To properly balance tires, the weights are going to go on both sides of the rims.
