It's easier to use all the same size and type of tubing. 1-3/4" .120 wall DOM

Would a front bumper like this be good for a better approach angle?

I don't have a problem with my L&L bumper's clearance. It hangs down about the same as the factory one and sticks out more, but mine has been fine.

But yes it would give a better angle. Not $400 I would spend though.

Hmm.. Not worth that much you think? Maybe I'll look into a local shop fabricating something similar. But that style seems fine? Do you have a picture of yours?

Don't we have the same one?

You just have the stinger?

I do like that style though.

^^none of these bumpers have anywhere near good approach angle..

if you're not constantly digging it into the ground or hanging it on rocks then you probably don't need to worry about your approach. or god forbid the worst nightmare.. coming down a steep ledge and doing an endo because you caught your bumper

I like my approach angle.... And I'm still constantly slamming into my fairlead and my winch plate, lol

Is it worth the slamming to know that you have a winch or have you barely used it? I've honestly never used mine (came with the Jeep), but I'm sure once I take it off, I'll need it. What about relocating to the rear? lol

I wouldn't wheel without it. Even if I only needed it once a year, it's still worth having.

doesn't make a difference in my clearance though. It's under the radiator so I don't lose any clearance, even compared to a stock bumper
