The first thing I did was re-do the headliner when I got my Laredo!
1) Just unscrew all the grab handles, trip, visors, and center roof console thing if you have it.
2) the headliner is ONE big piece and not very sturdy so slowly lift it down and pull it out.
3) I went to Joanns and bought actual headliner. Tan for the roof, and black for the visors and center console.
4) Cut out the headliner to the shape of the roof you pulled out with some excess, spray them both down with 3M adhesive and work out any bubbles and make sure its smooth!
5) let it sit for a couple hours (during superbowl if you start early ) and then wrap the excess around and secure it with glue or staples.
6) put your new headliner back in, in reverse steps
Hope this helps, goodluck!

Well this is how mine turned out. Took me about 3 hours total.
1) I pulled the old headliner out.
2) Pulled the nasty sagging one off.
3) Used a 2" wide metal scraper to get the old foam off.
4) Used a Loc-tite foam and fabric adhesive. It sets FAST!
5) Spray some on a section of material, wait a few seconds, lay it down and smooth it out.
6) Repeat til whole board is covered.
7) Wait about 30 minutes til its well adhessed.
8) Trim.
9) Install.
As for the gas smell, shampoo the carpets with a heavy duty cleaner. A carpet cleaning store or company will know what works best.
