i can still get a key made for my 89 accord from the vin, but not a build sheet for my 88 xj, maybe i just have to go there in person, i dunno

I'll bet if you used the link I posted they might be able to tell you something. The form you fill out is for general vehicle questions and has a section for describing what you want.. they got back to me the next day.
