That is the second best way to do it. a true SYE is the "proper way" but I know people who bash on the HnT's with no issues

How does a transcase drop create more stress on the drive line? Everything Ive read says it decreases stress.

motor mounts, transmission mount take a big toll and need replacement more often. and then the a tcase drop (if your like me) will cause alot of damage to vital components from rocks. causing more in repairs. the tcase drop needs to stay for show lifted vehicles only IMO

my dad has a 98 xj with the re 5.5 lift and only has a tcase drop in it with the stock driveline in it and has no vibes and no other issues for 2 years now and for a hack and tap they arent very strong and when they brake it snaps the tc output shaft. but just my 2 cents

I have never seen a HnT break an output shaft ever. Even on the hardest wheeled rigs.... And those shocks sound good to use.

its easy as long as you have an angle grinder and a drill.

just be easy on the tap when tapping for the bolt on your output shaft. i have broke a couple off trying to hurry and it sucks to get the broken piece out.

you can do it with the t-case still in the jeep.

i block my wheels and take out my rear d-shaft. measure where you need to cut the output shaft and mark it with masking tape all the way around the shaft. start the jeep and put it in drive to let the ouput shaft spin. then make your cut with the angle grinder with it spinning. this makes a super straight cut if you know how to use an angle grinder.

also make sure to drill your hole straight!!!

some say its not safe....but thats how i do it.

or you could use the instructions.....lol i havent looked at them since the first one i installed.
